Büchelbox

Under the motto "Büchelbox!", the Chur Organ Concerts conclude this year's cycle. For once, the duo of Balthasar Streiff and Yannick Wey of the same name does not dedicate themselves to the ancestral alphorn, but to its little brother, the Büchel. The rather little-known instrument is winding like a baroque trumpet or a trombone, but is reminiscent of the alphorn in sound.

This is also used in the concert program. In the extended formation «Büchelbox plus» Stephan Thomas is part of the organ on the organ. Traditional and Alpine compositions will be performed, as well as new compositions written especially for the ensemble. The three perform a programme that premiered last summer at Zurich's Tonhalle.
Admission is free, a collection will be charged.
