Annual concerts 2023 of the music society Union Chur

This year the MG Union will be 110 years old. Reason enough to come up with a brand new, varied and refreshing concert program. As usual, there is something for every taste, from folk to concert brass music to rousing entertainment music. Of course, the city tambours Chur are also part of the party again and enchant you with their refined drum inserts.

After the powerful opening number «Patronage» we take you into the mysterious spheres of Greek mythology and astronomy with the concert works «Cassiopeia» and «Aldebaran». The first part of the concert is rounded off with a beautiful polka and a racy march. The second part of the concert is all about popular light music. Hits such as Andreas Bourani's "Auf uns" or a medley with unforgettable songs by Simon & Garfunkel will be heard. After a detour into Dutch pop-rock culture, the touching ballad "Gabriellas Sång" and the rousing medley "Selections from The Greatest Showman" also sound great film melodies.

Of course, a restaurant, a fine cake buffet and the big Union tombola will be offered again this year on both concert evenings. After the concerts, you can end the evening with a drink at the Union Bar. On Friday and Saturday, the restaurant is already open from 19.00 o'clock and you can eat before the concert.
