Description
The versatile and varied cultural landscape of Domleschg is characterized by high-stem orchards, hedges, dry stone walls and especially by its castles and palaces, to which the Burgenweg Domleschg is dedicated. This does not see itself as a castle nature trail, but simply as a varied hiking and walking trail, which leads through the cultural landscape Domleschg and points to the individual ruins, castles and palaces, which present themselves to the interested hiker along the way. The Burgenweg Domleschg leads between the stations Thusis and Rothenbrunnen through the Domleschg and can also be explored in stages and in combination with the Postbus. Short portraits of 15 objects can be found in the handy MiniGuide folding brochure.
The Burgenweg Domleschg was initiated and implemented by the municipalities of Domleschg, Rothenbrunnen, Sils i.D., Thusis and the city of Fürstenau in cooperation with Viamala Tourismus and the Johann Martin von Planta Foundation domiciled in Domleschg.
