Kyrgyzstan – land between steppe and high mountains

Lecture Gulaim and Jochen Ebenhoch present the nature and hiking paradise of Kyrgyzstan in a picture lecture and report on their breathtaking journeys through the heart of Central Asia. The country is located on the legendary ancient Silk Road and is dominated by the Tien Shan Mountains, which are of particular scenic beauty with their snow-capped peaks, mountain steppes, lonely valleys and picturesque lakes.

Gulaim and Jochen Ebenhoch
For more than ten years, the couple has also been on their adventurous journey on foot to Kyrgyzstan, Gulaim's home country. This ambitious project, which has been given the name Via Kyrgyzstan, is still ongoing. The long hike recently led the couple in individual stages through the Caucasus.
