Handel's Organ Concertos Nos. 1-12 have already been performed in their entirety by the Glarus organist and harpsichordist Martin Zimmermann and the "orchester le phénix" - now it's the turn of Nos. 13-16. The varied concerti were performed by Handel himself during the breaks of his oratorio concertos and show the versatility of the organ in a multifaceted way. The organist and harpsichordist Martin Zimmermann, who comes from the canton of Glarus, is a sought-after chamber musician, continuo player and soloist in Switzerland and abroad and has played with chamber music partners such as Christophe Coin, Sergio Azzolini and Riccardo Minasi. His repertoire ranges from the earliest keyboard works of the Middle Ages to world premieres of our time. He has been working with the "orchester le phénix" for many years.
