Starting from Plato's very old question of what is truth and what is only reflection, works come together here, all of which deal with subjective feeling in relation to the outside world. Since Plato's question can only ever be dealt with from a human point of view and therefore an objective truth cannot be formulated at all, music is able to offer a multitude of possibilities as to what is subjective or universally valid.

A wide variety of compositions come together here and all contribute in different ways to making subjectivity and being per se audible and tangible. Be it as a dialogue between two instruments, as self-reflection and only from an objectively observing situation.

In addition to the established composers Nikolaus A. Huber, Alessandro Solbiati, Enno Poppe and Tristan Murail, the music of the young Czech composer Jan Rösner can be discovered here.

Rösner: Composition for Trombone, Strings & 6 Gongs
Murail: C'est un jardin secret...
Hosokawa: Silent flowers
Huber: Presente
Poppe: Sweat
Solbiati: Path
