Event Chur
Week of Religions - Interreligious Train Ride
Description
Building bridges between cultures and deepening respect for people of other faiths is the goal of the Week of Religions, which takes place throughout Switzerland in the first week of November. In Graubünden, the activities are organised by an interdenominational OC in cooperation with the Graubünden Forum of Religions.
A highlight of the week is the interreligious train ride through the canton of Graubünden with interreligious dialogue on a special topic during the train ride. This year, members of the Graubünden Forum of Religions will discuss the different funeral rituals, traditions and their backgrounds in the religions with the participants. Together, the travelers visit the Christian forest cemetery in Davos and the Jewish cemetery next to it. The journey continues to Chur to the Daleu cemetery, where the first Muslim burial ground in the canton of Graubünden is being planned.
