Nino Schurter Grillstelle Mittenberg

The Mittenberg is located at 1,114 m above sea level. M. is located in a sunny forest clearing east of the city and is a popular destination for hikers, trail runners and bikers. The alp can be reached from Chur over an altitude of around 500 metres - either via a wide forest road or via various forest and hiking trails. At this location, the city of Chur has erected a publicly accessible fireplace dedicated to the Chur mountain biker Nino Schurter. As an Olympic champion, ten-time world champion and multiple overall World Cup winner, he is one of the most successful athletes in cycling history. A memorial stone unveiled on site commemorates his outstanding sporting achievements. In addition to the barbecue area and seating, the well-equipped rest area also has a fountain with spring water, thus combining the regional sports heritage with a place of recreation in nature.
