The ice sports stadium in the Obere Au of Chur is used as an indoor ice rink for ice hockey, figure skating and public ice skating.

Description

Currently and until spring 2025, there are restrictions regarding the access to the Obere Au ice sports stadium due to the construction of the field sports stadium. Further information.

The Obere Au ice sports stadium is home to local ice hockey club EHC Chur and the figure skating club Eisclub Chur (ECC) also holds practice and events here. It holds 3000 spectators and a restaurant that is open during matches.

The indoor ice stadium has a rink reservation system for patch ice. More information.

Obere Au ice sports stadium as an event venue
With space for 3,000 spectators, the Hallenstadion Obere Au is one of the largest event venues in Chur. From September to March it is equipped with an ice rink, from April to August the concrete floor is used for a variety of purposes.

  • Capacity: 3000 people (seated and standing)
  • Facilities: Event technology for concerts, power connections incl. distribution board, free WLAN, wheelchair-accessible, car parking spaces

Changes or cancellations up to 48 hours (working days) in advance are free of charge. Weather-related changes on the part of the clubs are free of charge up to 12 hours (working days) before the training/game.
