SCHNELLERTOLLERMEIER
The Swiss trio around Andi Schnellmann (bass), Manuel Troller (guitar) and David Meier (drums) plays music without compromise, somewhere between modern composition, minimal music, psychedelic and brute rock. Their concerts are considered an experience that you don't just sit down, precise, controlled and yet raw. From Europe to Japan, China, India and the USA, they have earned a firm place on international festival stages.

Shadow Web
After years of extensive touring, Schnellertollermeier return with a new double LP: "Shadow Web" marks the opening of a new chapter in the band's 20-year history. This ambiguity and permeability comes as a surprise after the sudden directness of the last releases: The new album radiates clarity, in every fiber, in every circular movement - and yet leaves a lot open. On "Shadow Web" the now circulates, expands swinging.

Schnellertollermeier thus counter the brutality, coolness and the striving unambiguity of our world situation with a pulsating sound fabric of radiant warmth and improvisational playfulness. "Shadow Web" proclaims no answers; it allows for ambiguities, opens up new spaces of possibility and creates time for contemplation. It continuously spirals into the depths – paradoxically, this creates a thermal upward energy over the wide arc of the four long form tracks again and again.

With their genre-defying work and highly precise, powerful and transcendental live concerts, the Swiss trio has earned a firm place on the international festival stages: from the FIMAV Festival for Contemporary Music in Victoriaville to the famous avant-garde club SuperDeluxe in Tokyo to the Haldern Pop Festival in Germany, from Europe to South America, China, Japan, Canada, the USA, or India – always in search of the greatest possible intensity.

In 2026, the three musicians are not concerned with managing their egos, the optimal marketability of their output or the general well-being of their listeners, but with the abolition of hierarchies: The traditional power relations between drums, bass and guitar are consistently abolished in Schnellertollermeier's work. The obligation to subordinate oneself to a common organism remains constant, in whose own life the silhouettes of the individual sound identities dissolve. https://www.schnellertollermeier.ch
