TanzPlan Ost: Felt Relations & Collective Rhythms of Pain

Description

At the TPO Tour 2026, the two pieces FELT RELATIONS by Simea Cavelti and Collective Rhythms of Pain by Lyn Bentschik will be presented as a double bill at three venues in Eastern Switzerland.

Felt Relations explores the complex web of relationships between nature and man. Shaped by the research phase in the mountains and the processing of the wool, the piece invites you to perceive infinity, rawness and tenderness. Felting, an ancient, repetitive and cross-cultural gesture, is choreographically examined as an original metaphor and can be felt and experienced visually and physically-sensually. The compression of wool becomes a condensation of history, place, knowledge, work, human and animal life – an atmosphere of interweaving. On stage, a resonance field between body and wool is created, two relationship-based, soft and resistant fabrics that breathe and navigate with the interior and exterior.

Collective Rhythms Of Paintdives into the world of chronic pain experiences: What does a world feel like in which pain states do not have to be hidden for fear of pathologization? Together, the project team explores this question in the synergy of artistic work, creative accessibility and lived experience. The focus is on the expressive languages and rhythms of aching bodies, which can be shared and felt and develop their own artistic and social power. The result is a relaxed performance with creative surtitles that invites the audience to explore their own relationship to pain(s).
