Kecskemét meets Chur!

The intercultural project 2025 will take the supra-regional project choir choR inteR kultuR to the center of the Hungarian choral tradition - to Kecskemét - at the beginning of October 2025. After a week in the heart of Hungary , the choir returns to Switzerland after two impressive concerts  . Their partner choir, the traditional Kecskeméti Fesztivál Kórus , is now travelling to Switzerland and performing two concerts in Chur and Zurich together with choR inteR kultuR . The two choirs have rehearsed a program with a focus on the vocal music of the 20th century from Switzerland as well as from Hungary on the theme of nature and its elements. In addition to extraordinary works and a selection of popular and country-specific folk songs from both countries, the audience can expect a commissioned composition by the Chur composer Fortunat Frölich. This special programmatic highlight is entitled "nüvel cotschen" (in German "red clouds"). The work for a cappella, choir and alphorn is based on Rhaetian texts.
