Dive into the crypt - guided tour of St. Stephan in Chur

On the slope of Chur's Mittenberg, above the episcopal courtyard with castle and cathedral, lie the spectacular remains of St. Stephen from the 5th/6th century. Once laid out as a tomb of the early bishops of Chur, large parts of the complex fell into disrepair during the early modern period. Today encased in the Graubünden Cantonal School and restored in a museum, this unique site invites visitors to immerse themselves in times long past.
