Around 2000 people originally from the Philippines live in Graubünden. They have found a new home here and are now "panahanan sa Graubünden" – at home in Graubünden.

In the Rhaetian Museum, the Balikatan Centre presents facets of Philippine culture, sensitively reports on what it feels like to leave home to find a new home in a distant culture and what challenges have to be mastered. The exhibition tells the stories of the Filipinas and gives them a face, invites visitors to deal with their own culture and origins and shows the richness that can arise when two cultures approach each other openly and shape their common coexistence.

Together with our museum educators from the Rhaetian Museum, the children immerse themselves in the fairytale world of the Philippines.

In this dialogue workshop, you will learn how communication differs between people from the Philippines and Switzerland and what it takes for us to understand each other better.
