The first train rolled into Chur in 1858. On the outskirts of Chur, to be more precise, because at that time the area between the old town and the Rhine was still largely undeveloped. Today the station is located in the heart of Chur. The most striking building is the roof completed in 1993 with the post bus station. The station building on Bahnhofplatz is far older: it dates from 1878 and joins onto the station buffet from the early 20th century. The station was expanded / modernised from 2001 to 2008, during which a new building was added to the station building, among other things. The renovation received the Brunel Award in 2011.

Game variants

Standard course or duel? Both Episode 1 and Episode 2 can be played as a standard course or as a duel. In the standard course, a team of 2 to 8 players must use skill and cunning to escape a room with locked doors in less than 60 minutes. In the duel, two teams of up to 8 players compete against each other. One team has 30 minutes to catch the other using its skill and cunning, while the second team simultaneously has to use its skill and cunning to escape the first team. After a half-time break, the game is reset and the roles are reversed.

After almost 60 years, Chur has a coffee roastery again, in the middle of Chur's old town. Since March 2021, QuintaCoira roasts its coffee every Monday at Herrengasse 9 in Chur - spectators are always welcome. In addition to many other specialties and espresso machine sales, guests are of course also treated to the finest coffee from the barista. kinoa is more than just an open-air cinema – it brings a real holiday feeling to the middle of the city. After three years under the Fürstenwald, the cinema experience is moving to the Kornplatz this year, creating a relaxed oasis in the heart of Chur.

At the entrance you can grab a camping chair and settle down where you feel most comfortable - very uncomplicated and free.

Before and after the film, our catering partners invite you to feast in the food tent and food truck. The cosy kinoa bar provides cool drinks. Whether it's an aperitif, an after-work beer or a dessert at the end of the day - here you can enjoy the summer to the fullest.

This square is older than its name; until the 17th century it was still known as Klosterplatz. Then the adjoining monastery was closed and a corn granary set up in the church. With the departure of the monks, the old name for the square also disappeared. The name Kornplatz (Corn Square) has remained to this day – in spite of the fact that the once stringently controlled corn trade was liberalised in 1840 and the corn granary closed down. While the square served as a site for various markets right into the last century, these days it is an important intersection between the sleepy Old Town and the livelier modern district.
