The city guides tell exciting stories of respected women from then to now such as Sylvia Caduff, Angelika Kauffmann and Elly Koch.

This year's Advent concert of the choir viril Domat will again take place in the Ems parish church and will be performed by the Ems men's choir together with the St. Gallen brass band formation "Die fidelen Humpenspatzen". The choir viril will perform a varied song program, performed in different languages. As a musical point of contrast, the brass band formation, which is entirely dedicated to Bohemian-Moravian music, will perform. The "Fihuspa Blechrunde" - as it is also called - has proven its high level of skill several times by participating in the meeting of the best Swiss brass music formations. It has already been chosen by the audience as the best brass band. In the final part of the concert, some works performed together by the choir and brass band can be heard.

The bandura is an old stringed musical instrument that exists only in Ukraine.
With 65 – 70 strings, a bandura produces a particularly wide range of musical sounds and is therefore often called a "small music orchestra".
We are pleased to be able to enjoy these traditional Ukrainian melodies in our church this evening and cordially invite you to do so.
The concert starts at 7.30 pm.
