During Vespers, the procession goes through the fields in the afternoon to transmit the healing influences and powers of Mary. The faithful, the Cumpagnia da Mats, Musica da Domat and the Baselga Choir accompany the statue of the Mother of God in the procession. At the Statio on the Fritz Hecht meadow, the Gospel is read, the blessing of the weather is sung and the Baselga choir sings the popular O Gloriosa.

The choir Baselga Domat sings the Messa Romontscha en F major by A. Spescha and Segner, muoss a nus la via by H. Lanicca and Sur A. Cavelty in the solemn service of the beheading of John the Baptist.

The Rapid Openair is a small, fine music and culture festival with a unique character and special charm in the middle of Graubünden. The name goes back to the beginning of the open-air, when the Rapid still served as a stage. We have been building them ourselves for many years now, but the Rapid is still an important component and is used as a means of transport. The values of sustainability and diversity are very important to us - be it in the areas of logistics, cuisine or booking. The festival starts on Friday 1 August and is rounded off with a breakfast included for everyone on Sunday. August 1 at the Rapid yes! The campsite will be accessible from 14:00 and the bar opens at 15:00.

The Walser people moved "across the border" – from the fascination of an alpine fringe culture

Abstract:
Necessity drove them away. From Goms and from the Upper Valais side valleys,
the Walser after 1150 in all directions. They cleared and cultivated rough mountain valleys and created 150 colonies in the Alpine region. They are united by a common culture and language. Her spirit of discovery still amazes today. The historian Carl Bossard outlines the history of the Walser and their migration, their fascinating culture and the common language. Maria Ettlin-Janka, Stans, from Wals, reads short texts in 'inschar Sprààch, dm Obarsàxar Titsch'. As a native of Obersax, she speaks the language of her ancestors from Goms.

Texts and poems reads
Maria Ettlin-Janka comes from Obersaxen. She joined the Walser Association of the Grisons at an early age and was involved in the newly founded cultural association Pro Supersaxa – Obersaxen. She cultivates her 'Titsch' with her family. She writes stories and poems in her Walser German.


The history of the Walser tells
Carl Bossard is the founding rector of the Zug University of Teacher Education. Prior to that, he was principal of the Nidwalden Cantonal Middle School and director of the Lucerne Cantonal School. It deals with questions of school history and educational policy.

On Sunday, 26 October 2025, RhB children's conductor Clà Ferrovia will be on the road with the Engadine steam adventure train. Travel with him and the "Heidi" steam locomotive between Samedan, Pontresina and St. Moritz.

You can meet him at the following times*:
- Chur departs 09.58 a.m., St. Moritz arrives 11.53 a.m. (regular train, no special ticket is required)
- St. Moritz departs 1.28 p.m. - Pontresina - Spinas - St. Moritz - Samedan arrives 3.54 p.m. (Engadine steam adventure train, special ticket must be purchased)
- Samedan departs 4.16 p.m., Chur arrives 6.04 p.m. (regular train, no special ticket is required)

At first, Clà Ferrovia will be on the Albula line in regular traffic. All you need for this train journey is a valid train ticket for you and your companions. For the subsequent ride on the Engadine steam adventure train, a special ticket must be purchased in advance.

Visit Clà Ferrovia in the Alvra family compartment on the Albulaline. On the way, he will tell you about his latest experiences and you can try out a few games, solve puzzles or just marvel out of the window together.

Would you like to take part in something at the Chur Theatre? Playing the rooms in a "different" way? Would you like to cook and eat together with others at the Chur Theatre? "Chadafö" is a project in which people from the Chur Theatre use the house with guests for an interim period in a different way than is usually the case. Cooking and eating together can be a start.
