Matias Spescha (1925 - 2008) was a Swiss painter, sculptor and graphic artist. In the early 1960s, Spescha devoted himself intensively to the exploration of abstract forms, influenced by Informel and Abstract Expressionism. In 1970, he shifted his focus to the creation of sculptures and the design of walls and rooms. Until his death, his works were characterized by a formal proximity to American Minimal Art and left a lasting impression on the art scene.

The electroacoustic composition Palace combines the autobiographical, the carefully preserved, the long forgotten and the accidentally forgotten with the spontaneity of rediscovery and reinvention. Badrutt weaves older archive recordings from his time as an Ives-playing pianist, field recordings, randomly rediscovered remnants and new material, but also scraps of his daughter's singing and piano playing into a symphonic density. The title Palace refers to the luxury hotel of the same name in the Engadine.

Badrutt (*1972) has been active in the field of experimental electroacoustic music for almost 25 years. Started as a pianist in the field of composed contemporary music, today the focus is on electroacoustic music: the occupation with the computer as an agile live sampling instrument as well as with electronic devices that are used as sound sources and transformers.

Music Man Machine: Sound Interactions for Humanism!
The interaction between humans and machines has been a topic that concerns us not only since AI. In modern music production, the machine stands for absolute perfection and its operation is considered a high art. This is how fantastic sound works of art are created, but also inconsequential monotony.

The Soundwalker, Marc Jenny's self-developed electronic musical instrument, definitely does not have artificial intelligence, but it does have an artistic life of its own. Or to put it more simply, has programmed the complete overload. This makes the operation of the machine all the more an art – with everything that makes up art: unpredictability, courage, failure and moments of happiness. Zangger and Jenny get involved with the Soundwalker, play with and against the machine, create sounds at the edge of the universe.

Almut Kühne and Peter Conradin Zumthor heard each other at the Willisau Jazz Festival 2023 and were enthusiastic about each other. Now there is a first meeting with the Berlin singer and the drummer from Haldenstein in Chur. Unrehearsed, spontaneously, without knowing exactly what to expect from the other person, the two move musically towards each other with the greatest joy, hoping to create a common world for a short time that did not exist before and will never exist again afterwards.

GolikeSco is intensively dedicated to the work of guitar virtuoso John Scofield. The trio knows how to interpret the funky guitar sounds of the guitar virtuoso as well as the playful grooves in their own, sophisticated way.

Scofield is one of the most important jazz guitarists in modern music history. With his unique blend of jazz, funk and rock, he has released numerous albums and collaborated with greats such as Miles Davis and Joe Lovano. He is particularly known for his unmistakable sound and innovative playing technique, which sets him apart from other guitarists.

A slow jazz program - inspired by a workshop on musician Shirley Horn. The quartet interprets standards in the musical search for the slow pure magic that characterizes Shirley Horn. Horn was a talented jazz singer and pianist. She began her career in the 1950s and gained international recognition for her ability to put emotion into her music. Her playing on the piano was just as famous as her vocal technique, which was often characterized by slow, elegant rhythms. Her best-known albums include "You Won't Forget Me" and "I Thought About You".

Il prof. Massimo Lardi e lo scrittore e giornalista Dalmazio Ambrosioni dialogheranno con l'autore su temi di stretta attualità, legati agli effetti spesso problematici dell'intelligenza artificiale.
