TRËİ sings songs of women who watch over the beds of the living and the dying. Crows, ravens and magpies accompany their songs, tell of war and bring good news. Poetic and honest, TRËİ deals with persecution, empowerment and femininity – and thus honors those who have accompanied people at the end of their lives for centuries.

The trio sings vocal folk from different cultures and brings their own compositions to the stage. In staged concerts, adventurous vocal and instrumental music is created, which repeatedly revolves around the question of what it means to be human on a turbulent planet. The three women weave together their different roots – and celebrate diversity in all its forms.

"Siblings at the Limit" tells the story of Isa Wiss and Hans-Peter Pfammatter. They are a Lucerne musician duo from the jazz and folk song scene, which is often booked for "special occasions": award ceremonies, weddings, funerals. What people say about them: They can convey great emotions with their music. Together with director Beatrice Fleischlin, they dig into the siblings' biographical material, carefully fan out the finds and put them together to create a scenic-musical evening with people, music and delirium.

Many country hits describe a women's theme, but come from the pens of men, who naturally don't have much idea about women's lives. In the project WOMEN's CHOICE! the true "Wybergschtürm experts" are now making themselves heard and presenting a complete programme of compositions by women. As the Ladies' Choice! orchestra, the eleven musicians explore the field of tension between traditional and new folk music compositionally and musically and meander fresh and joyfully through the most diverse musical styles and moods. Of course, the following applies always and everywhere: "It's a ladies' election!"

The idea came about at the suggestion of the artistic director of the Altdorf Folk Music Festival, which wanted to honour and highlight the influence and importance of women for the development of the folk music scene.
