What happens when art transforms the past into something new? In Kunst am Mittag, curator Damian Jurt presents the work The House of Rūdninkai by Augustas Serapinas. The starting point of the installation is a historic bathhouse in Lithuania, which the artist dismantled, transformed and presents in the form of a kiln made of ash bricks between two wooden walls of the original house. Serapinas focuses on the quiet cultural heritage: abandoned houses, signs of migration and change – phenomena that can also be found in Graubünden. The observation of the work goes beyond the social reading and asks for art-historical references: What role do place, material and memory play in contemporary art? How can architecture be used as an artistic medium? An invitation to reflect on material, history and artistic forms of remembrance.

On September 13, 2025, the sixth edition of the Arcas Rock music festival will take place. The most beautiful old town square in Chur will be enchanted by the US indie band Nada Surf and the three Swiss acts Nickless, Julie Meletta and Andrea Bignasca as well as the local musicians Ladunna.

With Nada Surf , the Wohlklang association has succeeded in engaging one of the world's most influential indie rock bands. For over 30 years, the New Yorkers have been traveling all over the globe and have released over 10 albums. With their new record 'Mirror', they can be seen exclusively in eastern Switzerland at Arcas Rock this summer. Before that, Nickless will grace the Arcas. At the top of the Swiss music scene for many years, he brings his EP 'C'est La Vie, Baby!' with him and enchants the Arcas with his catchy pop jewels. The high-flyer and SRF 3 Best Talent Julie Meletta will present her new album 'Amarcoeur' for the first time in Graubünden at Arcas Rock and will get the audience going with French indie pop. Andrea Bignasca from Ticino is omnipresent on all radio channels and will set a first highlight on the Arcas. As always, Graubünden music is also represented at Arcas Rock. The festival will be opened by Ladunna. The two musicians will be a first highlight at this year's Arcas Rock with extravagant electro-pop.

Lavender Park, the new DIY alternative rock band from Switzerland, switches from hardcore roots to an emo-indie-influenced sound. Lavender Park consists of Damian (lead vocals, guitar), Marius (guitar), Phillipe (bass) and Gilles (drums, backing vocals) and works entirely DIY. The four-piece band that has evolved from its hardcore and metal origins to a dreamy, emo-infused indie-rock sound. "It's gentler than what we used to do, but it still carries the weight of our roots."

Yellow Tales is a surf punk rock band from Wil (SG) that launched their band project in 2022. In 2024, the band has already had the great opportunity to perform in numerous small clubs and bars. This year, the members want to spread their positive vibes and get many people dancing.

ARGIES celebrate their 41st anniversary with the «S.O.S.» -Tour 2025! Since their founding in 1984, the Argentines have stood for independent, politically conscious punk with a clear stance. Their music, influenced by British punk of the 70s, is now an energetic mix of ska, reggae, dub, rock'n roll and Latin American rhythms. The band lives the DIY spirit consistently - independently, collectively and across borders. The name ARGIES, originally a British insult for Argentines during the Falklands War, is deliberately given positive connotations here: as a sign of international solidarity and for all those who are on the margins of society. As a cultural collective, the ARGIES have been touring worldwide – America, Asia, Europe – since 1999, bringing their rousing live energy to every stage. No show like the other, always authentic, always loud, always ARGIES.

Together we will celebrate cycling on a tour from Zizers to Maienfeld. And of course enjoy the break in the Heidi Village extensively. During the day one of THE tourist hotspots with thousands of visitors, we enjoy the peace and quiet in the evening, very Coffee&Bike-like with a coffee in a picturesque setting. And if you have a small favorite mug (with saucer) with you, it will become part of a creative photo. A photo that tells of pause, serenity and fun. By the way: Whether it's a junk bike, a city runabout, a high-tech bike or a rocket-powerful e-bike. All bikes are welcome here. The main thing is that you bring a smile and a bike light.

The exhibition "Attenzione Residua" examines the fragile nature of perception – the moment when attention becomes an intense focus before it turns into distraction.

The works on display are fragments of an incomplete perceptual system – they oscillate between concentration and dissolution, between structure and decay. Material Assemblages, sculptural fragments and a video that plays with hyperfocus and visual disintegration challenge visitors to become aware of their own perception. What remains in the moment of seeing – and what inevitably slips away?

The "Organ and Wine" format takes place every year as part of the Chur Organ Concerts. This year it has been expanded to "Organ, Singing and Wine", as the soprano Johanna Heim works alongside the "house organist" Stephan Thomas. The wines that are sung about and played are those of Uwe Schneider from Zizers, whose bottles, which are still too little known, have struck us extremely positively. The mediation between wine and music is provided by Stephan Thomas, who works as a wine journalist in addition to his musical activities. Following the concert part, the tasting of the wines will take place as usual in the Antistitium (Kirchgasse 12).

Admission is free, a collection will be charged. Wine tasting CHF 15.00 per person.
