The Gabriele Pezzoli Trio around the pianist of the same name from Lausanne plays their own compositions, complemented by selected pieces from contemporary jazz. The sound of the ensemble is shaped as much by the community within the band as by the individual expression of the three musicians. The trio has its fourth album "June", which will be released at the beginning of 2025, in its luggage.

The trio - nominated for the German Jazz Prize in 2023 - plays with influences from classical modernism, minimalism and modern jazz. Ganesh Geymeier is sometimes Coltrane (Alice and John), sometimes Lomax (Alan) and Bowles (Paul), sometimes Parker (Charlie or Evan) when he docks his saxophone to his backpack or to the memories archived on his laptop. Geymeier is a composer, companion, improviser and archivist who draws his strength from the refusal to pigeonhole the characteristics.

Pietre (Steine) is the chordless quartet led by bassist Alessandro Fongaro, known for his work with Sun-Mi Hong, Ambergris and the Brainteaser Orchestra. Pietre is a cry to live again, to love again. The two saxophonists show an impressive range, carried by a closely intertwined interplay of double bass and drums.

The band around saxophonist Gianna Lavarini met at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and completes itself with Till Santschi on bass and Jason Nordemann on drums. The trio primarily plays original compositions by all members; sometimes groovy, sometimes melodious. The band plays its debut at the JazzChurFestival, reinforced by the Graubünden singer Anna Bläsi with her wonderful voice.

With "Cleo", Lea Maria Fries presents a contemporary and thematically highly topical work. The eleven compositions describe her personal journey and are an honest examination of the world and herself. The duo "Training", which has been in existence since 2019, enters into a collaboration with the celebrated electric bassist Ruth Goller. The band collectively creates a new, energetic music: meandering grooves, instrumental-vocal nesting, expressive training sessions, weightless unison melodies – created with the help of the composition method "Cadavre Exquis".

Gaudy songs, lots of fun and colourful hustle and bustle – the most famous girl with the red braids is celebrating her birthday! Pippi and her friends will return to the Swiss stages again from October 2025.

For her birthday, Pippi has invited her friends Tommy and Annika. Together they experience shipwreck, search for ghosts in the attic of Villa Villekulla and eat the world's very best birthday cake. But what do the two crooks Blom and Donner-Karlsson want? Wishing Pippi a happy birthday? Or maybe steal Pippi's suitcase with gold coins?

A colourful, exciting stage spectacle with great music and fabulous performers. Great fun for young and old, wonderfully staged by Brigitt Maag.

Giora Feidman Duo

In 2025, Maestro Giora Feidman continues to be powerfully and empathetically committed to a world without weapons and borders. On his current tour "Revolution of Love", the internationally renowned clarinetist and peace ambassador appeals for peaceful coexistence as well as for more love and harmony. In the approximately two-hour concert program, the audience will experience a fireworks display of traditional klezmer as well as masterpieces of tango music and selected compositions from the current CDs, composed by Majid Montazer. At the unforgettable concert, the musicians accompany the audience on a journey into the world of sacred and secular music.

This program continues Giora Feidman's artistic work and goes far beyond the musical dimension. With "Revolution of Love", Feidman pursues the goal of spreading not only sounds, but also the transformative message of love. This revolution is intended to touch the listeners emotionally and initiate a journey full of hope and connection. Giora Feidman and the various ensembles that will accompany him throughout the tour are looking forward to these unique concerts and firmly believe that music is a powerful force that unites people and can bring about change – a true "revolution of love" through music.

Giora Feidman, winner of several Klassik-Echos, uses his clarinet to communicate through music and share his message. His sound is changeable, passionate and emotional, but also sensual and earthy. The "King of Klezmer" and interpreter of the Oscar-winning film music of Steven Spielberg's "Schindler's List" offers his listeners an extraordinary experience at his concerts. He also appeared in the German films "Jenseits der Stille" by Caroline Link and "Comedian Harmonists" (1997) by Joseph Vilsmaier.

Feidman has already been honoured for his commitment to peace and his services to reconciliation between peoples. He received the International Bridge Prize for his contribution to international understanding in Europe and the Grand Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his commitment to reconciliation between Jews and Germans.

On a hill in front of the abyss to the Hinterrhein rises the church of St. Georg in Rhäzüns. St. George himself is said to have jumped over this abyss with his horse. The simple room of the church shows an impressive painting, which was created in two phases in the 14th century - the choir and the eastern part of the hall by the Waltensburg Master, the western part by the Rhäzüns Master. The result is a kaleidoscope of medieval beliefs in a 360° panorama that encourages contemplation and reflection.
Orlando Fetz goes in and out of this church every day. He knows every stone and every picture in detail, as well as many stories and anecdotes, which he conveys in his engaging way. A rousing tour.

Niia is an award-winning vocalist and pianist known for her cinematic songwriting, world-class musicianship and haunting and deeply intimate vocals. She is one of those rare artists who is both timeless and modern, making her an outstanding voice in contemporary jazz.

This fall, Niia returns to Europe to present the music from her upcoming album on the iconic jazz label Candid Records. Her live show is hypnotic, emotional and raw and is often described as a truly transporting experience.

The jazz choir Chur Arcas Syncopics will be a guest at the Kulturpunkt on Friday, 22.08.2025 at 6.30 p.m. and 8 p.m. He s(w)ings and grooves his way through his current repertoire and also performs songs and pieces from the successful program "Vive la difference" from March 2025. A light-footed, funny and rousing evening. The choir is directed by Heinz Girschweiler.

Table 14 is a young, local pop/soul band of 6 young women. Celine on bass and Adwen on drums form a strong base on which Victoria on guitar can bring the songs to life. Michelle, Jana and Debora sing with three powerful, very different timbres, which gives them a wide range of possibilities. The whole thing is framed by Debora and Jana, who take turns at the keys. A year ago, they also started composing their own music and were already able to release their first single "Mess".
