Description

The famous Giger Bar was opened by the Chur artist and Oscar prize winner H.R. Giger.

H.R. Giger achieved world renown with his "creation" of the "Alien". The Oscar prize-winner established a bar in his hometown that is a must-visit for anyone who is a fan.The bar was originally planned for New York. As scheduling difficulties stymied this project, the bar with its exclusive Giger design was opened in the Kalchbuhl Centre. The entire interior décor of the bar and the furniture were designed by H.R. Giger.

On the facade of the Lachen schoolhouse in Chur, «Bane» has implemented the graffiti artwork «I have a dream».

Description

This project was developed by the local and international known streetart artist «Bane» in cooperation with the City of Chur and the Cultural Office of Chur. The Lachen schoolhouse is located in the neighborhood where «Bane» grew up. This was an important project for him, and an opportunity to give something back to the beautiful city in which he was raised.
