Old Bad Pfäfers and Tamina Gorge
Walk along the paths of the beneficial thermal waters. The Tamina Gorge is a real natural phenomenon in itself and gives us an impressive idea of the immense power of water. In the middle of it all, the oldest baroque spa building in Switzerland, the Old Bad Pfäfers with its spa museum, Paracelsus memorial and restaurant, is a reminder of the Wilhelminian era. Tamina-Therme - relax in the hot springs

The scenic Rhine Valley near Chur, as well as Graubünden's north, known as Bündner Herrschaft, are regions that are predestined for wonderful walks and beautiful hiking tours. The wine villages and hiking trails are aligned like pearls along the Rhine River. Hike on a breezy autumn day when the "Föhn" blows across the Alps, when the wine harvest is drawing close and when one of the wine villages is preparing for a colorful fall festival - these are truly unforgettable experiences!

There are 3 circular tours through the vineyards along the way, Trimmis/Zizers (appr. 4 km), Malans/Jenins (appr. 10 km), Maienfeld/Fläsch (appr. 10 km). Together with the main trail from Chur to Fläsch (30 km), there are more than 40 km of signposted hiking tours available. A special map of the wine hiking trail is available at the tourist information at the railway station in Chur, as well as along the the way in the wine villages.

Due to its sunny location in the valley, the wine hiking trails are a good option almost all year round.

From Chur, this tour begins with a leisurely roll-in to Domat/Ems. Directly in front of the golf course, the ascent then follows on the alpine road to the beautifully situated Graubünden mountain village of Feldis, which is known for its exceptionally rich alpine flora. By the way, there is also a gondola lift from Rhäzüns to Feldis - so if you want to save some battery and energy, you can alternatively ride to Rhäzüns and then take the gondola lift with your bike to Feldis. Through the picturesque village and past the chairlift, the beautiful climb over the Feldis Alps towards Alp dil Plaun follows shortly afterwards. Up to the settlement of Culm Ault you can continue without any problems, there is a good point to park the e-bike and continue on foot. At Windegga you can see the top station of the ski lift from Pradaschier. After Tgom'Aulta the path becomes steeper towards Fulbergegg (2'448m). From there it is not far to the summit, still up the ridge and you are already standing on top of the Fulhorn (2'528m), where a magnificent all-round panorama opens up.

The descent follows the same route. For technically experienced mountain bikers who still have reserves, there are also various trail options back to Chur.

Chur - Maladers

Start your journey at the Bahnhofplatz in Chur and walk along the charming Bahnhofstrasse to Alexanderplatz. There you turn left into Quaderstrasse. Follow this road to the Coop Quader, where you can stock up on provisions for the hike. Behind the Coop, the Haldenweg leads up to the picturesque Haldenhüttli, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the old town of Chur

From the Haldenhüttli, it's a short distance down the Aroserstrasse to the church of St. Luzi. Follow the pilgrim's path past the Konvikt to Maladers.

Maladers - Mittenberg (1114m)

Shortly before the village of Maladers you reach the district of Tumma. After a sharp bend to the left, the path leads uphill for about 500 m to the junction to the Schanfigger Höhenweg. On this popular high-altitude trail you hike to the Mittenberg. Enjoy more breathtaking views of Chur on the way and on the popular Chur excursion mountain.

Mittenberg - Chur

From Mittenberg, the path leads through the Tüchelwald down almost to the Fürstenwald. Before you dive into the Fürstenwald, turn left onto the pilgrim's path. This leads first across a meadow to the Lürlibad and then down into the Berggasse. A few metres after the Berggasse bus stop, turn into the forest  and follow the pilgrim's path to the Haldenhüttli. From there, continue down Arosastrasse, across the courtyard to St. Martinsplatz. In Chur's old town, you can linger in cosy cafés and restaurants and indulge in culinary delights. Through the Poststrasse and Bahnhofstrasse you will return to the starting point at Bahnhofplatz.
