The "Organ and Wine" format takes place every year as part of the Chur Organ Concerts. This year it has been expanded to "Organ, Singing and Wine", as the soprano Johanna Heim works alongside the "house organist" Stephan Thomas. The wines that are sung about and played are those of Uwe Schneider from Zizers, whose bottles, which are still too little known, have struck us extremely positively. The mediation between wine and music is provided by Stephan Thomas, who works as a wine journalist in addition to his musical activities. Following the concert part, the tasting of the wines will take place as usual in the Antistitium (Kirchgasse 12).

Admission is free, a collection will be charged. Wine tasting CHF 15.00 per person.

In 2024, the organ of the Regulakirche in Chur was thoroughly overhauled. The instrument, which dates back to 1745 and has been rebuilt several times, has been refreshed without any significant interventions in the substance. Nevertheless, the second evening of the Chur organ concerts has a bit of the character of an inauguration. "House organist" Stephan Thomas has opted for a programme from the early 19th century, the time when the regula organ underwent a fundamental redesign. Pieces by Martin Vogt, Samuel Wesley, Johann Nepomuk Hummel and Alexandre Pierre François Boëly will be performed.

Admission is free, a collection will be charged.

In the small group we immerse ourselves in the soothing forest atmosphere. The course instructor Susanna Roffler accompanies the mindfulness exercises such as walking meditation, conscious breathing, creative and playful individual/couple and group exercises. The God Helps Foundation is organising a Ugandan evening at the Kulturpunkt in Chur together with the Migration and Worldwide Church Office. There will be culinary specialties from Uganda and a lecture on the aid project God Helps Uganda, an exhibition with African handicrafts and lots of African music.

Moments... or not! Since the artist could no longer recognize the fine brush contours, she began to paint with her fingers.

Mrs. Emerita Valaulta-Gliott exhibits her paintings in the GalariaBurgaisa on the 1st floor of the Sentupada Church and Cultural Center.
The exhibition runs until 31 May 2025 (exception: closed on 29 May 2025) and is open from Thursday to Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by appointment.

Amnesty Chur is organising an action this summer where people meet for a short time and create a positive, empowering atmosphere together. In view of the difficult political developments, we want to provide a counter-impulse to frustration and resignation. What better way to do this than with music? The song "People have the Power" by Patti Smith is to be heard in and out of a filled town hall hall. That's why we're looking for people like you! Everyone can participate – the more the more effective! The song is sung twice in English.

The Chur Child and Youth Work (JuAr) invites you to the fourth summer festival in the Stadtbaumgarten. On Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22, there will be a celebration!
As every year, visitors can expect a varied program to experience, enjoy and participate, which offers an insight into the wide range of children and youth work as well as the diverse activities in and around the youth center.

There is a lot going on in and around the youth centre in the Stadtbaumgarten. Children and young people will find a popular meeting place and a wide range of leisure activities here. In addition to the Kidz and youth club, event and band rooms, a recording studio and a creative workshop are open to them - places that invite you to actively create, practice, try out and participate. Parents and other adults are also well known to the house and the area: as the venue for the World Play Day play festival in spring, the Foodsave banquet in autumn or the candle making in the run-up to Christmas.

This year, the summer festival will take place over 2 days. On Saturday, 22 June, a varied programme with numerous highlights beckons. These include dance performances and shows ranging from break-hop and hip-hop dance to classic Indian children's dance, a colourful children's programme with the Spiila in the Bauwaga district, handicrafts, giant Lego and clown Gavroche. In addition, there will be creative activities such as the screen printing station, as well as live music from classical to rock. A varied range of food and drink stands will take care of the physical well-being.

To kick off the event, the Chur Orchestra will play at noon. The musical performances in the afternoon offer young talents a platform to present themselves, before established artists such as the Mirkwood Spiders, Momo Kawazoe and Felix Piriger as well as others turn the summer festival into an open-air festival with rock and electronic sounds.

On Sunday, June 22, the JuAr then invites you to the "Not only for families" Sunday brunch. This will once again offer space for encounters, conversations and shared enjoyment. Acoustic live sounds from the stage provide the appropriate musical accompaniment to end the festival in a cosy atmosphere into the afternoon. Registrations for the brunch are gladly accepted on the website of the child and youth work.

In a special concert evening, two outstanding works of sacred vocal music will meet: Johann Sebastian Bach's Motet Jesu, meine Freude impresses with its artful structure, the close connection between chorale and biblical text as well as its rich expressive content. Heinrich Schütz's Musical Exequies, written in the midst of the turmoil of the Thirty Years' War, combine personal farewell culture with liturgical form and show a deep examination of death and consolation. Both compositions reflect in their own way the baroque idea of music as a means of edification and inner movement. A concert that offers space for concentration, resonance and musical discoveries.
