The Chicken Ruckus play old-time and folk from body and soul. Their songs and tunes have their roots in the southeastern United States, where Irish and English songs mixed with African-American blues at the beginning of the 20th century. Accompanied by banjo, mandolin, fiddle and bass guitar, The Chicken Ruckus sing about the cool mountains and the wild coasts, about the work on the track and in the coal mines, about love, life, death and whatever may come after.

Every performance of The Chicken Ruckus is raw and melodious at the same time, is performed with passion and is guaranteed to touch every audience deep inside, if they are not carried away and carried away by the stomping rhythms and the crisp bass lines.

The inspiring source of Vent Negru, founded in 1991, is the rich heritage of songs and instrumental pieces of southern Alpine folk music, which has been preserved to this day thanks to oral tradition and the records of the first researchers and collectors.

The trio interprets rediscovered old ballads, lullabies, dance songs, songs in the style of "canto spontaneo" that have been preserved from oblivion, enriching this repertoire with new compositions inspired by tradition.

Music and storytelling of stories, curiosities and anecdotes with the desire to show and make audible the value of Ticino's popular culture.

Vent Negru plays at events and concerts in a wide variety of places in the style of itinerant musicians and story singers from times gone by.

The multinational Celtic folk band, which has won two Irish Music Awards and numerous other awards, celebrates its 20th stage anniversary.

In 2003, four close folk musicians joined forces to form CARA (Gaelic: friend) and to this day, friendship plays a central role in the band, in addition to their shared love of the traditional music of Ireland and Scotland.

In the 20 years of their existence, CARA have earned an excellent reputation, often highlighting their innovative arrangements, original compositions and songwriting, as well as their virtuoso performance and charismatic stage presence. They create their own sound, in which the voices of the two singers Gudrun Walther and Kim Edgar are at the center. The vocal arc ranges from dreamy ballads to archaic Gaelic mouth music to their own songs with current socio-political references, with the two lead singers Gudrun Walther and Kim Edgar always complementing each other with somnambulistic certainty. 

The songs alternate with fast-paced instrumental pieces that live from the virtuoso interplay of fiddle and uilleann pipes. The Irish bagpipes, which were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017, are played by Cara newcomer Simon Pfisterer, who studied this extraordinary instrument at the University of Limerick. 

What also makes CARA special are the interaction of guitar and piano and the band's unusual and rhythmically and harmonically rich arrangements. They bear the signature of Jürgen Treyz, guitarist, producer and musical mastermind of the band.

Born in French Algeria, Pierre Bensusan is an adventurer of unusual countries. His almost "sacred" music is an intimate and orchestral anthem, a solo traverse on a multi-shell Lowden guitar exposed to the forces of nature with sound molecules and finger pulp on an ebony fingerboard for open tuning - a unique and transparent technique, under the fingers of an adventurous pilgrim. Great emotion guaranteed.

If world music means the fusion of traditional, contemporary, jazz, classical and pop music, then Bensusan is one of the most eloquent world music musicians of our time. A pianist in his early days and then self-taught on the guitar, the originality of his style makes him one of the greatest guitarists and composers for the instrument of today. Also known as "The Prince of DADGAD", his story is far from banal and it is on stage that this artist has earned his spurs: among other things, the Rose d'Or of the Montreux Festival and the vote for the best guitarist in world music by the readers of Guitar Player Magazine! His triple album "Encore" won the Grand Prix of the Independent Music Awards in the category Best Live Album... Since his first performances in France in 1974, the guitarist has sold half a million albums and given thousands of concerts worldwide, both solo and in numerous collaborations.

In a multimedia concert production full of surprises, the SECONDHAND ORCHESTRA with Roman Riklin, Daniel Schaub, Frölein Da Capo and Adrian Stern follows the eternally recurring course of love using dialect versions of the ABBA songs. New original compositions are unrestrainedly interwoven with ABBA hits such as "Dancing Queen" or song pearls such as "The Winner Takes it all". Radio legend Mürner contributes audiovisual contributions to the spectacle. "Love - The Dialect ABBA Tribute" is a unique homage to the immortal hits of the Swedish songwriters and proves that ABBA still has the right soundtrack ready for every situation of its own love story.
