After the cableway ascent from Chur to Brambrüesch, a short and pleasant ascent over the Malixeralp to Lake Spundis follows. There you take the exit via Juchs to Chur. And it's got it in it! At the beginning a flowing trail leads across the meadows, which inspires jumps of joy. Later it becomes steeper and more demanding until you have crossed the ravine and descend over a meadow to Alp Juchs. After following the alp road for a short while, a hiking trail soon branches off to the left again. Now begins a technical, partially exposed single trail, traversed by demanding (but with some practice rideable - please avoid abbreviations) hairpin bends. The trail crosses the road several times until one follows the alp road a bit further down. And then after a bend another trail branches off to the right. Here begins a flow firework, the trail leads relatively flat in several sections up to the Rosenhügel above Chur. On this last section, especially before the curves, drive with foresight and caution, as hikers or bikers might also come across. From Rosenhügel one follows the road and behind the Welschdörfli through back to the valley station of the Chur cableways.

The Brambi Flow Trail is designed that it can be operated even by beginners as a twisty singletrail. Many riparian curves provide a powerful flow and lots of fun, whether biking freeride or cross country.

From Bad Ragaz, the pass route, which was already used by the Romans, leads steadily uphill to the spa town of Valens. There you drive rather flat over the almost 100 meter high bridge further down to Vasön and the Mapragg reservoir. Before the dam, turn right and drive along the lakeshore before continuing on the main road at the end of the lake.

Through a wild valley basin with almost vertical mountain flanks rising on both sides, we continue to Vättis. The final ascent to the pass now runs away from traffic in an untouched, grandiose landscape. Shortly after the Eggwald mountain restaurant, you leave the canton of St.Gallen and you are now on Graubünden soil before you reach the top of the pass.

At the transition from the Tamina Valley to the Rhine Valley, the great differences on both sides of the watershed are astonishing. The descent to Tamins is a real treat with a view of the confluence of the Anterior and Rear Rhine.

From the railway station at Rhäzüns the route takes us along the Alpstrasse up to the Rhäzünser Alp Sura. There are several village fountains along the way, ideal for topping up those water bottles with good, fresh Rhäzüns water in preparation for the ascent. As the unsurfaced track continuously winds its way upwards, it's a sweat-inducing ascent that calls on reserves of endurance. Once we have passed the culms da razén (Rhäzüns pasture huts), we deserve a short break at the Lag Miert mountain lake. From its idyllic high-plateau setting, the small lake radiates peace and tranquillity, strengthening our resolve before we tackle the final and somewhat flatter ascent to the Rhäzünser Unteralp. By the time we hear the welcome shrieks of the marmots we know we have reached the highest point on the tour, the Alp Sura (Rhäzünser Oberalp). We are amply rewarded for our efforts on the ascent with stunning panoramic views of the Vorab, the Tschingelhörner, the Ringelspitz and the Calanda, the Rhine valley around Chur, and the Safier and Domleschg mountains. The downhill run begins gently enough along the Alpstrasse to the Bonaduzer Alp il Bot. Then it really begins to gather pace at the branch-off after Scardanal before turning technical on the single trail after Salums and Prau Videun. It's a real treat, with a fast-flowing run back down to Rhäzüns.

The next section takes you to Tamins, where you tackle a climb to the Kunkelspass. This ascent rewards you with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys - an unforgettable experience for any mountain bike enthusiast.From there, you descend through the high valley, past the Maparggsee lake and through St. Margrethenberg. The descent offers high speeds and thrills on trails and alpine roads that take you all the way to Untervaz.Untervaz marks the end of this adventurous tour, during which you will cover a total of 1,600 meters of ascent and 2,100 meters of descent. After an action-packed day on the bike, you can relax here and reflect on the day's experiences.Please note that this tour requires a certain amount of mountain biking experience and that participants should wear appropriate protective equipment. Please also respect nature and leave no traces behind to preserve the beauty of the landscape for future generations.

At the top of the pass, stop off at the restaurant and enjoy local delicacies.

From the railway station at Rhäzüns we soon reach the water's edge, our nostrils filling with the fresh air from the wetlands. The Rhäzünser Rheinauen are among the most best preserved wetland areas in Switzerland and are considered of national importance. We continue along the single trail as it rises and falls until we reach the flatter section along the Rhine dam after Rothenbrunnen. Along the Polenweg to Reichenau the sparse forest lets us glimpse wonderful views of these unique Rheinauen wetlands. Along this section of the route the Hinterrhein meanders from one side of the valley to the other. In Reichenau, the confluence of the Hinterrhein and Vorderrhein, we once again switch to the other side of the river and roll on towards Bonaduz. After a short, steep ascent up to the high plateau of Rhäzüns and Bonaduz the route continues past Sogn Gieri (St. Georg), which is well worth a stop. The Romanesque church, more than 1,000 years old, is famous beyond Switzerland's borders for its astonishing and beautifully preserved murals. After the rewarding visit of Sogn Gieri we happily cycle back to Rhäzüns.

This biking tour starts in Chur, a city surrounded by 937 Grisons mountain peaks. There are plenty of things to do and see here in Switzerland's oldest town. Wanting mountain magic or vibrant city life? Chur in the Alps has both. This is a round trip amid magnificent scenery and with gentle climbs and beautiful descents. Leave the pulsating city behind you as you continue along the Plessur towards Meiersboden. This pleasant route goes up to Passugg, where the famous Passugg mineral water has been bubbling out of the Theophil Spring for over 400 years. From Passugg follow the street upwards for a moment. Then turn right and follow the Polenweg to Churwalden. Turn left at the monastery and ride through the Chlosterwald to the Oberhus and then on to Spina. High above the municipality of Malix, the route continues steadily upwards until you get to the Brambrüesch plateau, the location of the mountain station for the Chur mountain railway. Here, several guesthouses offer you the opportunity to recharge your batteries while enjoying outstanding views of the many mountain peaks. The descent takes you through meadows and pastures to the Känzeli, Rosenhügel, Obertor and finally ends in the traffic free Oldtown (or if you prefer a proper trail descent, just follow one of the official freeride trails in the Alpenbikepark Chur). Perfect to finish the tour in one of the many terraces. In early summer this tour is magnificent due to its Alpine flora and fauna.

The starting point of this mountain bike tour is the village of Bonaduz, which together with Rhäzüns forms an actual high plateau. Bonaduz is also the gateway to the Rhine Gorge Natural Monument.

After crossing the idyllic forest landscape near Bonaduz on well-maintained forest paths, an ascent follows on a road with little traffic, which leads to Sigl'Ault with great views. This is soon followed by a single trail that leads smoothly down to the panoramic road above the Rhine Gorge. The "Ruinaulta", as the gorge is called in Romansh, is one of the most magnificent and diverse landscapes in the Alps, which was formed by a landslide 10,000 years ago. You follow this road with a magnificent view down below, past the "Zault" viewing platform (photo stop recommended), before finally diving back into the forests and driving back to Bonaduz on extensive forest paths.

- The chairlift Tgantieni, Scalottas and Weisshorn 2nd does not transport downhill bikes (double crown fork)!

- Transport of bikes with a maximum weight of 25 kg: Gondola lifts Chur-Brambrüesch 2nd section.

No less than five cable cars make the ascents on this round tour easier for you. You start with the two chairlifts from Lenzerheide via Tgantieni to Piz Scalottas. Once there, a good 4 km long, partly steep descent to Churwalden awaits you. On the beautiful single trail along the elevation curve you pass the Junehütte - take a moment and enjoy the wide view over the whole valley. After Parpan you pass lush alpine meadows to the Maiensäss settlement Mittelberg - Büel.

The final ride leads to Runcalier, over a short stretch on the Tschiertschen main road and a flowing trail in the Steinbach forest to Chur. Here the mountain railroad takes you via Känzeli up to Brambrüesch. From Brambrüesch you continue to Churwalden. From Churwalden the panoramic cable car Heidbüel brings you back up to 1930 m.a.s.l. After a short transfer on the gravel road a last trail highlight awaits you from the mountain restaurant Spoina to the Heidsee between Lenzerheide and Valbella.

Whole tour: 42 km (5 km chair and gondola ride)

Taking the Tgantieni chairlift, the first step of the tour is comfortably begun. Above lies the alpine path, going to the Tgantieni Mountain Hotel and then further onto the Bergbeizli (small mountain pub) Spoina. The first part runs over well-prepared forest roads with occasional glimpses of Lenzerheide and Heid lake. The gentle descent passes the Valbella hostel and goes through Parpan village back to Churwalden.

A further nature trail brings you to Passugg, which is the source of a famous mineral water. The roaring creek Rabiosa, in Romansch «The Raging», cuts its way through the Passugg gorge. In 1863 this spring was rediscovered, which is known today throughout Switzerland as the mineral springs of Passugg. Next you drop down to Chur and take the gondola back up to Brambrüesch. From here descend again on a tarmac surface to Churwalden, where you take the chairlift Heidbüel.
